I am thrilled to join the Riverside community. We have lived in St. George for 18 years now. As a child, I moved around a bit, including New Hampshire, Texas, and Florida. My journey in education has taken me from teaching 2nd and 4th grade to coaching teachers as a coordinator and serving as a principal at La Verkin Elementary. I’m a total nerd for learning. I’m a Dixie State, UVU, WGU and SUU alum with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and several endorsements, including STEM, ESL, Tech, and Administration. I can’t wait to dive into our ALP program and keep the Leader in Me momentum going. A little about our family: My husband, Steve, works for Dixie Power as their Communications Manager, and when we aren’t working, we are cheering our kids on at their various activities. We’ve been blessed to have 5 beautiful children. Our oldest daughter, Autumn, is 20 and serving an LDS mission in Fort Worth, Texas. Kamy is graduating from CTHS and will be heading to Wichita, Kansas, to serve a mission. Autumn and Kamy joined our family in 2014 through adoption. Our story is a fun one, and I’m very open about it, so ask me about it anytime. Then we have Tyson, who is in 6th grade and loves baseball. Carl is in 2nd grade, loves baseball, and makes us laugh the most. The caboose in our family is Miss Reese, and she is in kindergarten and loves dance and soccer. I believe that learning is the work, and there is a hustle and a harmony that comes with being an educator! I look forward to getting to know each of you.

  I am honored to serve as the Learning Coach at Riverside Elementary, where my passion is partnering with our talented educators to support their goals, elevate classroom instruction, and foster professional growth. With 21 years of experience in education, I believe that supporting teachers is one of the most powerful ways to enrich the learning experience for every student in our school.

Learning is a lifelong journey that I strive to model every day. My educational background includes:

• B.S. in Elementary Education – Southern Utah University

• M.S. in Instruction and Technology – Western Governors University

• M.S. in School Counseling – Utah State University (Currently Pursuing)

Beyond the Classroom

Outside of my role at Riverside, I am a proud wife and mother. My husband and I have a 19-year-old son who is currently serving a church mission in the Washington, D.C. area. When I’m not collaborating with teachers or studying, you can usually find me coaching cross country, traveling, getting lost in a good book, walking my dog, spending quality time with family, and generally loving life!
